(Senior) Finance Manager (m./w./d.)

Berlin
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

As JUNA’s (Senior) Finance Manager, you will own the full reporting cycle across our European entities — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information as we scale. You’ll work closely with external accounting partners in multiple countries and oversee monthly shareholder reporting.
  • Take ownership & drive the month-end closing process by preparing and reviewing key accounting information and collaborating closely with external accountants to finalize the monthly financial records.
  • Prepare monthly accruals.
  • Support in preparing monthly shareholder reporting (e.g. OPEX, Vehicle P&L).
  • Manage communications with external accounting offices in Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, France, and Spain.
  • Assist external accountants with preparation of annual reports and third-party audits.
  • Prepare & issue client invoices, track payment status and proactively follow up on overdue payments.
  • Continuously improve, streamline and automate finance processes to drive scalability of the finance function.

What That Looks Like
In the first 3–6 months:
  • Ramp Up Quickly: Become fully onboarded into JUNA’s finance systems and tools, building a solid understanding of our entity structure and reporting flows.
  • Own Core Processes: Independently complete your first solo month-end close accurately and on time.
  • Build Key Relationships: Establish reliable, trust-based working relationships with our external accounting offices across Europe.
After 12 months:
  • Seamless Collaboration: Work in sync with external accounting teams across all JUNA entities, ensuring smooth coordination and minimal friction.
  • Trusted Owner: Be recognized as a proactive, reliable owner of the full reporting cycle and balance sheet — the go-to person for financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Process Champion: Have identified and implemented improvements to finance workflows, contributing meaningfully to JUNA’s operational scalability.

Your profile

What you bring:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, coupled with 7+ years of professional experience in a relevant role.
  • Comfort working with external accounting partners across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with consolidation tools is a plus.
  • Professional fluency in English required; German at B2 level or above.
Who you are:
  • Sharp and detail-oriented — you catch errors before they become problems and take pride in numerical accuracy.
  • Proactive and structured — you manage your workload independently and flag issues early rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Reliable under deadlines — you understand that close cycles have hard stops and you plan accordingly.
  • Analytical mindset — you don’t just process numbers, you understand what they mean and can explain variances clearly.
  • Collaborative spirit — you work well with external partners and internal stakeholders across different countries and functions.
Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience with multi-entity set-up.
  • Exposure to scaling finance functions in a startup or fast-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with IFRS in addition to HGB.
  • Experience with MOSS, Zoho Books and Atlar.
